What’s Not To Love In Indonesia

Indonesia is the 4th most populous country in the world and is made up of over 17,000 islands. Often when people think of Indonesia, all that comes to mind is Bali. Although Bali is awesome in its own right, Indonesia as a whole is a great place to visit and has much to offer. Here are some reasons why you should visit Indonesia. Scuba Diving Situated in the middle of the Coral Triangle, scuba diving in Indonesia means you are diving in the world's headquarters of marine biodiversity. You will find more coral reef species here than any other place in the world. Indonesia is also home to a lot of shipwrecks off its shores, which makes your dive even that much more exciting. With a variety of living species and colour, this place could be described as divers haven! There is just so much to see and do on Indonesia's coastlines, it's almost a shame to visit and not get your feet wet. Temples & Monuments Borobudur - this famous Buddhist temple, dating from the 8th and 9th centuries, is located in central Java. It was built in three tiers. Made up of 2,000+ relief panels and over 500 Buddha statues, this temple is an amazing monument to see. Fortunately, the monument was restored with UNESCO's help in the 1970s. This sacred temple in Indonesia is a must see if you are fan of Buddha. I would recommend putting this breathtaking attraction on your bucket list. The People Indonesians are generally very friendly and welcoming people. In the majority of the places you travel to throughout the country, you will be met with some of the biggest smiles you have ever seen. They are also very proud of their history, culture, wildlife, food and are passionate about sharing it with others. A place to relax and take your mind off an ever evolving planet. If you are looking for a place to relax and get a good massage, then Indonesia is a great place to visit. Any spa treatment you can imagine can be found here, from seaweed wraps to fish spas, aromatherapy to the most amazing massage of your life. The bonus feature is many of these services can be offered at your hotel or even on the beach as you lap up the sunshine. Now that is what I call relaxation. The Beaches Put simply for many people, Indonesia is the beach. With 17,000 islands stretching between two tropical oceans, it would be hard to imagine any other place on earth where land, sea and sky have combined to produce so many breathtaking strips of sand and sunlight. Tiny breezy coves lapped by crystal seas to white sands that are rarely touched by human footprints. Some beaches you can reach by car or bus, others can only be reached by boat. Nicknamed  the ultimate surfer's paradise within Indonesia there are over 100 magnificent spots to catch waves. From rookie waves to 8ft monsters, there is a wave for everyone to catch. First timers with no boards need not worry, renting a surfboard is actually quite common.  Whatever kind of beach you find yourself at, you’ll quickly come to understand why Indonesia is the beach. Indonesia has so much to offer, its so rich in nature's beauty it’s hard not to be left breathless when exploring these amazing islands.
